The Symmes Inn Museum is subsidized by the City of Gatineau under the terms of the Cultural Development Agreement between the City and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec.
The Musée de l’Auberge Symmes is accredited as a museum institution by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec, and receives recurrent funding from the Ministry under the Programme d’aide financière aux institutions muséales (PAFIM).
Canadian Heritage, through its Young Canada Works program, contributes to the funding of summer student jobs for Museology Project Managers and Museum Education and Animation Project Managers.
The Symmes Inn Museum is part of the Réseau du patrimoine gatinois et de l’Outaouais (RPGO) whose mission is to support the presentation and conservation of, as well as research into, Gatineau’s and Outaouais’s heritage.
Symmes Inn Museum works closely in partnership with the Aylmer Heritage Association to ensure a concrete and continuous preservation of our glorious past.
