Every year, the Symmes Inn Museum hires students to work as receptionists and as project managers in museology, education and animation, thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs and Young Canada Works programs. These students come mainly from college and university, and must demonstrate an interest in museums and history. They will be delighted to welcome you to the museum, discuss our collections with you and guide you through our summer activities. If you are interested in a student position, please contact symmes.direction@gmail.com.
The Symmes Inn Museum couldn’t exist without its volunteers. Thanks to their time and energy, they are directly involved in the organization and staging of the many activities offered by the Museum throughout the year: opening day, summer activities, and so on. What’s more, our volunteers can also work on various research projects and in our collections. We need both English-speaking and French-speaking volunteers on our team!
