March break is fast approaching and the museum has prepared some activities that will allow you to discover our exhibits with your family! Come and explore the museum from March 2nd to 6th between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. or reserve your spot on a family guided tour with historian Roger Blanchette on March 5 or 6 at 1:30 p.m. Please note that the tour will be given in french only.
Family guided tour with historian Roger Blanchette (tour offered in French only)
With historian Roger Blanchette as your guide, you and your children will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Symmes Inn and the important people who developed the region as well as the way of life in the 19th century. The visit will focus mainly on our permanent exhibition Symmes Inn – Windows onto the Ottawa River. In addition, you will have the pleasure of viewing the short film “Hannah – The Legend of Symmes Inn”.
DATE: Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm (in person)
WHERE: Symmes Inn Museum, 1 Front Street, Gatineau (Aylmer sector)
15 people maximum per visit, including adults and children (distancing measures respected and masks must be worn)
Please note that these tours, only offered in French, are intended for families with children and teens. Parents must attend the tour with their children. Please reserve your free tickets accordingly and indicate the number of adults and children in your group in the area provided on the form.
