Interactive theater with Live History
Saturday August 19th, 2023 from 1pm to 6pm.

Preparations are well underway for Mr. Symmes’ political campaign. His goal: to become Aylmer’s 2nd mayor. However, it doesn’t look quite as straightforward as he had planned, and he needs your help to boost his campaign and get the votes and the funds he needs to emerge victorious! It won’t be easy, are you up for the challenge?

Inspired by real facts and historical characters, the Live History team and the Symmes Inn Museum offers you an exclusive interactive theatrical experience.

Visit us at the Symmes Inn Museum located at 1 Front Street in Aylmer on August 19th, 2022 between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm (with the last departure at 5:15 pm) to go back to the 1850’s and try to solve the mystery with Live History.

Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. 

Tickets may be available at the door, depending on availabilities.

The experience is offered in English or French, you choose!

The activity will take place indoors and outdoors, please dress accordingly.

Noël Samyn’s Hommage à la chanson française  show

Join us for Du petit bonheur au tour de l’ile, a tribute to Félix Leclerc with Claude Naubert. The concert will takes place on Sunday, August 20th at 2 p.m. in the gardens of the Symmes Inn.

Claude Naubert will present the greatest hits of Quebec singer-songwriter Felix Leclerc.

The show is free, please bring your own chairs.

Historian Roger Blanchette will offer a brief presentation on the Great Aylmer Fire of 1921 during the intermission (in French).
